Presenting:
AUDIOBOOKS – Time vs. Money … What You Need To Know

Some of the first things my students want to know about recording audiobooks are: how much time does it take? Can I make a living at this?

This presentation shows you how to determine those answers for yourself, and offers experience-based tips on how to best utilize your time—and therefore maximize your time-to-money ratio. You get the real scoop on what publishers are paying, and union vs. non-union rates and benefits. We cover what’s needed to narrate an audiobook from offer through prep, recording (including editing, proofing and mastering), delivery, CRX’s, billing and marketing. And we estimate the time involved in each. We also discuss what needs to happen before you record, in terms of training and equipment.
