Presenting:
BUSINESS – How To Ensure You Get Paid – Contracts and More
Have you ever done what you thought was a great voice over job, and then not been paid for your work? Worse yet, have you actually heard your work on the Internet, a phone system, a radio station, or even on TV—although you haven’t been paid? Every professional in the business has had this happen at least once in their career.
This session focuses on how to avoid being “stiffed,” and also discusses legal ways to collect your past-due voice over invoices. (And no, you can’t send over “cousin Vinny” to break some kneecaps.) I cover topics such as:
* Whether or not you need a written contract, and if so, its content;
* Collection letters and what they should, and should not, say;
* Whom to contact in collection efforts; and
* How to use intellectual property laws to help you get paid.
