Presenting:
HOME STUDIO – The ISDN Wake: Tech Upheaval and Issues
With ISDN services being phased out, real-time high-quality audio connections for voice professionals are moving to services over the Internet. This brings a lot of changes: some good, and some not so great. My presentation explains what those changes are and what they mean for you. I discuss what ISDN is, why it’s been so useful for us in the VO industry—and also why it’s so expensive! Alternatively, using the Internet for professional services is great for cost—but it comes with some downsides. There are important facts to understand so you can keep working well into the future with the reliability you expect from ISDN. You’ll come away from this presentation as a true expert on what is really going on with the Internet so you can better understand and make decisions about the inevitable move away from ISDN.Co-presenter is Robert Marshall, co-founder of Source Elements.
