About Lau Lapides:
Lau Lapides is a professional coach and a member of AEA/SAG-AFTRA/AWM. She received her MFA degree in acting from the University of California, Irvine, in 2000, and has been on the faculty at Connecticut School of Broadcasting (CSB), Bentley University, Babson College, Boston University, and UC Irvine.
Lau has produced and directed countless plays and performances and is the winner of prominent East Coast festival awards for directing and producing live theatre, including Best Director, Playwrights Choice Award, Best Play, and Best Full-Length Play.
She was the recipient of the prestigious Women Who Makes a Difference Award in 2003 and 2004, honoring women leaders of the Babson College community. She has also been nationally selected two years running to judge the prestigious Gracie Awards in Hollywood with Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) in Washington, DC.
As a voice over talent, Lau can be heard representing many products and services from Home Depot News Online, to Eukanuba Puppy Chow, to Milky Way Light.
She is president of lau lapides company, which is a boutique coaching studio designing fresh programs to meet the needs of professional voice over and on-camera talent around the world. Her unique, personalized, one-on-one approach helps her clients build confidence and techniques to hone their craft. She also sponsors professional industry events connecting talent to top industry casting directors, agents, managers, and A-List voice over talent such as Rob Paulsen, Debi Derryberry, Harlan Hogan, and Will Lyman.
