New, and sometimes even seasoned, voice actors may overlook the fact that your voice over demo is your calling card. In my four-point presentation, I stress the importance of a killer demo to position you as a professional in the voice over industry. Since baby steps are needed to build your voice over business, you’ll learn the stages of the demo process. That includes: training and development of skills, home equipment needed for practice, making your reads more conversational, and finding your copy and preparing for your demo session. I cover the various types of demos you can create to help sell your voice, featuring examples from my successful voice actor students.

About Joe Loesch:
Joe Loesch is a popular voice actor, coach, actor and musician based in Nashville.
As a voice actor, Joe is the voice of many cartoon characters for the Disney Channel. He narrates audiobooks for Harper Collins, Zondervan Publishing, Thomas Nelson, Mission Audio, Oasis Audio and Readio Theatre. He has appeared in a number of movies and has voiced dozens of commercials for local, regional and national advertisers, including Philips/Magnavox, Bridgestone/Firestone, Folgers, Sunsweet, Ford, Chevy and Toyota. Currently Joe is narrating, producing and voicing multiple character voices for Dave Ramsey’s children’s series, Junior’s Adventures.
Joe was nominated for Spoken Word Producer of the Year by AFIM Indy Awards. He has won the Diamond Award, and multiple Silver Microphone and Crystal Jade awards. He won the Early Childhood News Directors Choice Award for creative writing and production. His Abraham Lincoln Logues book was voted as a top 10 children’s book by Chicago Parent magazine and is now available in Ford’s Theater in Washington, DC.
Joe received a platinum album for his special effects work on “The Thunder Rolls” track on Garth Brooks’ No Fences album.
A Vietnam veteran, Joe relocated from Los Angeles to Nashville in 1981 to work for Loretta Lynn. He and his wife Lori currently own and operate Readio Theatre, LLC, an audiobook production company in Nashville (www.NewWayToRead.com).
