Presenting:
HOME STUDIO – Choosing Your Voice Over Microphone
In voice over work, the microphone is the main tool we use to achieve professional quality sound. It is third in line in importance—following our voice and our recording environment. This presentation focuses on how to go about choosing a microphone. Topics include: types of microphones used in voice over work; how different types of microphones (large diaphragm condenser, dynamic and shotgun) operate—and why this matters; industry standards; and what to listen for when trying to make your decision. Includes side-by-side comparisons of several large diaphragm condenser microphones.
